Egypt’s public prosecutor’s office decided to imprison a woman for four days pending questioning after she was accused of beating her husband to death.

According to security sources, the 35-year-old wife punched her 38-year-old husband several times in the head and chest, causing him to collapse and fall to the ground, lose consciousness and ultimately die.

The couple’s neighbors said they found the body of the husband outside the couple’s apartment in Al Marj district of Cairo with signs of a brutal attack and consequently called the police, who checked the cameras of some adjacent stores to discover that the wife had beaten her husband in this way on a fight.

Recently, police in the Helwan region of Egypt arrested a man for cutting off his wife’s ear and stabbing her 20 times in a dispute over household expenses.

Probe revealed the man assaulted his wife with a kitchen knife after an argument over household expenses.

The victim was immediately taken to hospital and examination revealed that the woman’s right ear had been severed, with 20 stab wounds all over her body.

According to details of the incident revealed by the ‘Cairo 24’ website on Sunday, the argument began between a hairdresser and her husband over financial issues in the family which later turned violent when the husband attacked his wife with a knife. of the kitchen.

The father of the victim calling the man a fraud said the accused at the time of the marriage claimed he had a business degree. But after the wedding, it was discovered that he was a security guard in a supermarket.

He relied mainly on the money generated by his wife’s hair salon.

He added that recently his daughter had faced health issues that prevented her from working, which angered her husband.

“So he decided to punish her and assaulted her until she almost died,” her father said.

The accused admitted assaulting his wife, explaining that he repeatedly told her not to discuss money matters at home.
