Detectives seek public’s help in identifying robbery suspect – St. Catharines


On June 25, 2022, at 7:53 p.m., Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) officers assigned to 1st District (St. Catharines/Thorold) responded to Shoppers Drug Mart, located at 181 Hartzel Road, in the City of St. Catharines for a theft investigation.

Upon arrival, officers were told that a suspect had entered the store, walked to the perfume aisle, and had begun concealing numerous bottles of men’s cologne. The theft was observed by a store employee who attempted to intervene and stop the theft. The suspect pushed the store clerk to the floor and fled on foot with approximately $900.00 worth of cologne. The store clerk was slightly injured.

As an act of violence occurred during the commission of the offence, the suspect is wanted for the offense of robbery under the Criminal Code.

Detectives have since obtained CCTV (see photos) and are appealing to the public for help in identifying the suspect, who is described as follows:

– Man

– White

– 30-40 years old

– 6’0″ tall

– Slim/thin construction

– Blonde hair (short)

The suspect was last seen wearing:

– Black jacket or sweatshirt

– Gray sweatpants

– Red baseball cap with Toronto FC logo

– Blue surgical mask

– Black shoes with white soles
