A hairdresser in Kettering is launching a free ‘cut and tidy’ program for those with upcoming job interviews, as the leave ends today (Thursday).
The Sorelle family lounge, which recently opened at The Yards on Market Street, wants to give back to the community that has welcomed its new business to the area.
The fair is managed by co-owners Antonia Gallucci and her sister Luisa, who set up the free service for the unemployed for job interviews.
The initiative allows people to receive a free dry cut for women or men in preparation for a job interview to help potential candidates appear and, most importantly, feel better in front of interviewers.
Antonia said: âPart of the process of preparing for your interview is to feel confident in your outfit and the way you will meet your potential employers.
âWhile appearances aren’t everything, we want our clients and our community to feel confident and feel like a million dollars for their interviews.
âIt’s easy to put on hold when the going gets tough, so we want people to feel gathered and refreshed, ready for their interviews. ”
The show asks people having an interview to contact them via their Facebook page or to call them on 01536 660466 to reserve during the sessions which will be held on Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
They ask for proof of maintenance in the form of an email or letter to secure your cut.
Antonia added: âWith the holiday ending on September 30, there may be fears for job security and many are looking for a new role.
“We want to provide the security that you don’t have to worry about overgrown or unruly hair before your interviews.”
