Salmon Arm Police are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a robbery.

RCMP say a driver had his wallet and car keys stolen while taking the suspect to a local store.

Police say the victim met the suspect for a short time on a previous occasion. But on this trip, the suspect asked the driver to stop after a short distance, then threatened him with a gun and demanded money.

According to the police, the incident took place on August 25, around 7:30 p.m.

“After taking the driver’s wallet and car keys, the suspect fled the scene,” Salmon Arm RCMP said.

“Fortunately, the driver was not injured and his vehicle was not taken.”
