Karnataka-based Sini Shetty became the winner of Femina Miss India World 2022 on Sunday during the VLCC Femina Miss India Grand Final at the JIO World Convention Center in Mumbai.

Rubal Shekhawat from Rajasthan became the first runner-up of Femina Miss India 2022, and Shinata Chauhan from Uttar Pradesh was named the second runner-up of Femina Miss India 2022.

The official Miss India Instagram account has revealed the country’s newest beauty queens to its 388,000 followers. The caption read: “Congratulations, let’s pop the champagne!”

The post also said that contest winners have a powerful voice and that the platform can help them change the world. “We have seen the passion with which they have worked for these titles and we must say that they deserve all of this,” the message concluded.

In another post, the handle shared the special moment these beautiful women were crowned.

Dedicating a special article to Shetty, the organizers said that the Miss India World 2022 has captured hearts on stage with her magnetism, charm, stamina and beauty. They are confident that she will make the country proud on the Miss World stage. “World – here it is,” the post read.

Born in Mumbai, Shetty, 21, holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance. Currently, she is following a professional training – Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). She is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.

Shetty’s win added another gem of glory to Karnataka. Before her, Karnataka gave the country many beauties such as Lara Dutta, Sarah Jane Dias, Sandhya Chib, Nafisa Joseph, Rekha Hande and Lymaraina D’Souza.

On the other hand, Shekhawat represents Rajasthan, its rich culture, heritage and royalty. She has a keen interest in various fields including dance, acting and painting, and loves to play badminton.

Chauhan, Miss India 2022 2nd Runner Up, has been a scholar in her educational field and possesses leadership qualities.

The finalists went through rigorous training and preparation sessions, supervised by the best in the industry, to compete for the coveted competition.

Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia, who won the prestigious Femina Miss India crown for 20 years, returned to the stage with her parents, husband and children. “It’s almost like reliving every moment of my journey with these glamorous young girls who are so full of enthusiasm and able to take on the world with power and elegance,” she explained in a statement.

Besides Dhupia, actor Dino Morea, dancer Malaika Arora, designers Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, choreographer Shiamak Davar and former cricketer Mithali Raj were part of the evening’s jury.

Stunning performances from Kriti Sanon, Ash Chandler and Lauren Gottlieb were also among the highlights of the star-studded evening. The show was hosted by Maniesh Paul.

In its hybrid format, the competition had launched a nationwide hunt to find potential talent from all corners of the country through virtual auditions. The extensive scouting campaign and subsequent round of interviews resulted in the shortlisted selection of 31 winning states, according to a note from organizers.

The curtains fell on the VLCC presents Femina Miss India 2022 at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai on July 03. Actor Rajkummar Rao, along with host Manish Paul took the stage to announce the winners. Winning the coveted crown, Femina Miss India World 2022 was Sini Shetty from Karnataka. Femina Miss India 2022 – The 1st runner-up was Rubal Shekhawat from Rajashthan and Shinata Chauhan crowned Femina Miss India.
