We haven’t had that fact confirmed, but it looks like Holly Willoughby has really thick hair. It’s just the way it drops into such a blunt form above its shoulders â no vaping at all. While thick hair is a blessing, it can be tricky to tame â something Holly’s hairstylist Ciler Peksah knows a thing or two about.
In a new post from Wylde Moon, Ciler talks about her favorite hair oils that act as her “secret weapon” against dry ends and frizzy hair. The list includes luxury purchases over £30, but we’re also pleased to see that she also recommends a £9.99 oil.
The power of good hair oil is clearly visible in the before and after shots Ciler shows of Holly. The This Morning presenter, who posed makeup-free for the front image, went from untamed hair to perfectly sleek, styled length â which Ciler credits hair oil.
If you’ve been inspired by Holly’s sleek hair and fancy trying an oil for yourself, here are the ones Ciler recommends buying for really smooth resultsâ¦
Garnier Ultimate Blends Coconut Hair Oil for Kinky and Curly Hair, £9.99 here
Ciler says she loves using IGK Hair Best Life Hair Oil, £24 here, but also uses it as a beneficial alternative. Having smelled this oil for ourselves, we can fully agree with Ciler’s recommendation. Garnier’s version is light on the hair, but also smells like summer vacation.
JVN Hair Complete Pre-wash Scalp Oil, £24 here
“Safe for color-treated hair, it contains basil root extract to help reduce hair loss and hemisqualane to strengthen and smooth hair while protecting against damage,” Ciler says of this oil from Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness’ new hair care line.
Aveda Nutriplenish Hair Oil, £31 here
Ciler lists this high-end purchase as one of its favorites, largely due to the fact that it can be used in so many ways. “I apply it before shampooing as a pre-treatment, as a leave-in conditioner, or as an intensive overnight conditioner,” she says.
Hair Xpertise Argan Oil Hair Treatment, £12.99 here
“This is fortified with vitamin E, a natural antioxidant to nourish, repair and rejuvenate,” says Ciler, who recommends running it over the ends of dry hair to smooth and eliminate frizz.
Not near a store? No problem. Ciler says there’s a way to get smooth results with items in your kitchen. Yes, you read that right.
âMix raw egg, olive oil and honey and apply length and ends, working your way up your scalp while massaging,â advises the hair professional. Just be sure to wash it off after about an hour!
